The Marquette University Golden Eagles suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of the Concordia University of Wisconsin Falcons on January 16th, with a final score of 1-7. The game, which took place at the Ozaukee Ice Center, saw the Falcons dominate the Golden Eagles from start to finish.
Despite having 29 shots on goal, the Golden Eagles could only convert one, thanks to #28 Sawyer Lichtensteiger. The Falcons, on the other hand, had a total of 47 shots, converting seven into goals. Both teams had five powerplay opportunities, but neither team managed to capitalize on them.
Golden Eagles’ goalie, Daniel Leger, had a busy day at the office, facing 47 shots and making 40 saves. His counterpart, Austin Bartell of the Falcons, faced 29 shots, saving 28.
