The Marquette University Golden Eagles soared to a triumphant 7-4 victory against the Aurora University Spartans in a thrilling game at the Ponds of Brookfield on November 14, 2025.

Despite the Spartans taking more shots at the goal, 48 compared to the Golden Eagles’ 38, it was the Golden Eagles who capitalized on their opportunities. The Spartans’ powerplay was 1/5, while the Golden Eagles struggled at 0/6.

In the net, the Golden Eagles’ goalie, Jake Buttice, outperformed his counterpart, Skyler Coard of the Spartans. Buttice saved 44 out of 48 shots while Coard let in 7 goals from 38 shots.
