Next up we have Sean McCarthy. Sean joined the team during the 24-25 season and has been an absolute joy to have. Cut from a different cloth, making it out the mud, Von grew up just outside of Chicago where he pursued a music career as well as being a 2 sport athlete. The dual athlete football/hockey star made impressions his freshman year of high school. After laying a crucial hit on the varsity quarterback, shattering every bone in his own body. Sean made the tough decision to decommit from Nick Saban’s Alabama football team early in his high school career. Leaving his recruitment open and turning down offers from Georgia Southern, North Texas, and Fresno State. Sean committed to Marquette Hockey in the fall of the ‘24-‘25 season. Since joining, Sean has been one of the funniest kids on the team, a silent but effective leader, and an even better MU hockey brother. Von is currently studying Criminal Justice and will graduate in the spring of 2026. Thank you again #30, and we are all sliding for you 🤞🏻🔥
