Next up, we have Assistant Capitan #7 Graham “Greg” Robertson.
The nickname “Greg,” given by Marquette Hockey legend Chris Deneweth, has stuck ever since. After Greg gave up his dreams as a full-time risk taker, he decided to join Marquette Hockey as a true freshman out of Batavia, Illinois. On the ice, Greg is the epitome of a glue guy. He’s your go-to penalty killer, and my goodness do we need it. Over his tenure, Greg killed an estimated 8-9 hours of straight P-K time. As you can see, penalties have been a consistent problem for us. Off the ice, the word to describe Greg is multidimensional. The kids a part time weatherman, Papa John’s employee, and often an eye witness for WISN. In his free time, Greg enjoys surfing, hanging out with his buddies, munching glizzy’s, interacting with Milwaukee locals, and cooking up some sorry meals. Greg even won Alpha Phi’s Heartthrob his freshman year—talk about an all around killer.
I think I speak for all of us when I say Greg is someone anyone would go to war with— the ideal teammate, friend, and brother that you could ever ask for. Marquette Hockey is proud to call him one of our own, and we are grateful for everything he has done for this program. Greg is studying Supply Chain Management and Information Systems and set to graduate this spring. We wish him nothing but success in his future endeavors. Thank you, #7
