Marquette Hockey Finishes Semester In Style

December 5th, 2019

Both Marquette hockey teams will be in action in the last competitive weekend of hockey for the first semester.   Next week the players will be studying hard for finals before they head home for a long awaited holiday break.  Before we get there though, each team will play tough competition with serious ranking implications.   All four games will be hosted at the Ponds of Brookfield from Friday evening through Sunday morning.

Marquette DIII finally gets a crack at city rival UW-Milwaukee.   These games have been circled on the calendar for some time and will certainly create movement within the rankings if Marquette is able to come out victorious.   UW-Milwaukee, a 2018 DIII National tournament participant, has continued a strong showing in 2019 and currently sits atop the MACHA Silver division standings.   Marquette DIII, in their first season, have aquired an overall record of 9-2 and are looking to for a good test facing the cross city rival.

Marquette DII welcomes a new opponent from across the boarder to the Ponds of Brookfield this weekend in Sault College.  While Canadiens may not celebrate Thanksgiving, both teams are coming off of long breaks and will look to get off to a quick start.
