Three conference series lead this weekend’s action. The headline series is Marian University versus DePaul University in Fond du Lac, WI. Marian sits in second place, two points behind conference leader Marquette University, while DePaul holds the third spot, just two points behind Marian. Which ever way this series breaks there will a new team atop the standings, either tied with Marquette, Marian via a split or DePaul with a sweep, or Marian will take over first place outright with a sweep.

The second series is a home and home between tied for fourth place University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and conference newcomer Concordia University. UWO is off to a fast start this season, winning both games of their opening series with Northern Michigan. Concordia is still adjusting to the competition of the NCHL and looking to record their first win, though they have earned one point from an overtime loss to DePaul.

Robert Morris University – Maroon hosts Northern Michigan University in the final conference series of the weekend. Neither team has gotten off to a good start, NMU is winless in their first four conference games and RMU lost both games of their conference opener with Marian University. This series marks the conclusion of the first third of NMU’s season, so it is imperative they accrue as many points as possible if they hope to get back to the conference tournament. RMU comes into this contest, however, with a bit of momentum, having defeated Northern Illinois University last Friday.

In non-conference action Aurora University hosts Bradley University and Lewis University hosts Grand Valley State University.

HAPPY FALL BREAK!!
