The MD2 Marquette University Golden Eagles hockey team had a great night on the ice last night against the MD2 Lewis University Flyers. The Golden Eagles dominated the game from start to finish, outshooting the Flyers 9 to 1 and shutting them out 9-1. The Golden Eagles were led by Joey Maione, who scored two goals in the game. The Golden Eagles defense was also impressive, allowing only one shot on goal and shutting out the Flyers powerplay. The Golden Eagles goalie, Daniel Leger, had a perfect night, making all nine saves.

The Golden Eagles are now off to a strong start in the season and look forward to continuing their winning streak. The Golden Eagles will be back in action next week against the MD2 North Dakota State Bison. Be sure to come out and support the Golden Eagles as they look to stay on top!
